Dr. Matthias Berger, postdoctoral researcher of Module IX, visited the IIASA 40th Anniversary Conference in Vienna, Austria. The IIASA has been established as a joint effort during the cold war, conducting research without borders. With the keynote given by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and several Nobel Prize Recipients among the speakers the high level conference addressed this time the bridging between science and policy. The FCL was represented during the Poster Session of the conference with a contribution to the Urban Heat Island phenomenon.
