In the second talk, Dr Alejandro Tirachini (Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies, University of Sydney) will present a new approach to optimally design the operation of urban bus services. We will conclude with an assessment by Dr Alex Erath (Future Cities Laboratory, Singapore ETH Centre) how the latest agent-based transport modelling tools can improve both long-term planning and operational optimisation.
